Surah Name: Saad Meaning: Saad
وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ Wa(o)thkur AAabdana ayyooba ith nada rabbahu annee massaniya a(l)shshaytanu binusbin waAAathab(in) And remember you Our-SWT bondman Ayyub-AS when he cried to his Rabb-SWT : Verily Satan has touched me with affliction and suffering. (38:41) |
ارْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ هَذَا مُغْتَسَلٌ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ Orkud birijlika hatha mughtasalun baridun washarab(un) Stamp you the ground with your foot; here is water, to wash in, cool, and to drink. (38:42) |
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ Wawahabna lahu ahlahu wamithlahum maAAahum rahmatan minna wathikra liolee alalbab(i) And We-SWT bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of Mercy from Us-SWT , and a remembrance to men of understanding. (38:43) |
Wakhuth biyadika dighthan fa(i)drib bihi wala tahnath inna wajadnahu sabiran niAAma alAAabdu innahu awwab(un) And take in your hand a handful of twigs, and strike with it and break not your oath. Verily We-SWT ! We-SWT found him patient. An excellent bondman! Verily he was oft returning. (38:44) |
وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُوْلِي الْأَيْدِي وَالْأَبْصَارِ Wa(o)thkur AAibadana ibraheema waishaqa wayaAAqooba olee alaydee wa(a)labsar(i) And remember you Our-SWT bondmen, Ibrahim-AS and Ishaq-AS and Ya'qub-AS all owners of might and vision. (38:45) |
إِنَّا أَخْلَصْنَاهُم بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَى الدَّارِ Inna akhlasnahum bikhalisatin thikra a(l)ddar(i) Verily We-SWT ! We-SWT distinguished them with a distinct quality: The remembrance of the Abode. (38:46) |
وَإِنَّهُمْ عِندَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ الْأَخْيَارِ Wainnahum AAindana lamina almustafayna alakhyar(i) And verily they are of the elect of the excellent ones with Us-SWT . (38:47) |
وَاذْكُرْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ وَكُلٌّ مِّنْ الْأَخْيَارِ Wa(o)thkur ismaAAeela wailyasaAAa watha alkifli wakullun mina alakhyar(i) And remember Isma'il-AS and Al-Yas'a-AS and Zulkifl-AS; all of the excellent ones. (38:48) |
هَذَا ذِكْرٌ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ Hatha thikrun wainna lilmuttaqeena lahusna maab(in) This is an admonition. And verily for the pious is a happy retreat. (38:49) |
جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْأَبْوَابُ Jannati AAadnin mufattahatan lahumu alabwab(u) Gardens Everlasting, the portals of which remain opened for them. (38:50) |
مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ Muttakieena feeha yadAAoona feeha bifakihatin katheeratin washarab(in) Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. (38:51) |
وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ WaAAindahum qasiratu a(l)ttarfi atrab(un) And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. (38:52) |
هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ Hatha ma tooAAadoona liyawmi alhisab(i) This it is which you are promised for the Day of Resurrection. (38:53) |
إِنَّ هَذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُ مِن نَّفَادٍ Inna hatha larizquna ma lahu min nafad(in) Verily this is of Our-SWT provision; there-will be no ceasing of it. (38:54) |
هَذَا وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ Hatha wainna li(l)ttagheena lasharra maab(in) This for the righteous. And verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat. (38:55) |
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ Jahannama yaslawnaha fabisa almihad(u) Hell, wherein they roast, wretched couch. (38:56) |
هَذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ Hatha falyathooqoohu hameemun waghassaq(un) This -let them taste it, scalding water and corruption. (38:57) |
وَآخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ Waakharu min shaklihi azwaj(un) And other torments, like them conjoined. (38:58) |
هَذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا النَّارِ Hatha fawjun muqtahimun maAAakum la marhaban bihim innahum saloo a(l)nnar(i) This is a crowd, rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; they are to roast in the Fire. (38:59) |
قَالُوا بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ Qaloo bal antum la marhaban bikum antum qaddamtumoohu lana fabisa alqarar(u) They will say: Nay! It is you for whom there is no welcome; it is you who have brought it upon us. It shall be their resting-place. (38:60) |
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِي النَّارِ Qaloo rabbana man qaddama lana hatha fazidhu AAathaban diAAfan fee a(l)nnar(i) They will say: Our Rabb-SWT ! Whosoever has brought this upon us, to him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. (38:61) |
وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَى رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ Waqaloo ma lana la nara rijalan kunna naAAudduhum mina alashrar(i) And they will say: What is the matter that we do not see the men whom we counted among the evil ones. (38:62) |
أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ Attakhathnahum sikhriyyan am zaghat AAanhumu alabsar(u) Did we take them for a butt of mockery, so unjustly, or are they deluding our eyes? (38:63) |
إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ Inna thalika lahaqqun takhasumu ahli a(l)nnar(i) Verily this is very truth: This wrangling of the inmates of the Fire. (38:64) |
